“Police in the Cyprus' capital are scuffling with protesters.”
After Cyprus announced Wednesday that its banks would remain closed until an undecided time next week, it was only a matter of time before tensions between the people and the state escalated into physical confrontation.
And it looks like it has begun.
“Police in the Cyprus' capital are scuffling with protesters (including employees of Cyprus Popular Bank) outside the nation's parliament,” Zero Hedge reports, citing local TV station CYBC.
