Hilarious Video of Fake Westboro Baptist Member Being Attacked by a 500-lb Man Goes Viral

"Who's your daddy now, Davey?"

Members of the hateful Westboro Baptist Church are usually the ones dealing out harassment. However, a bizarre video making the rounds shows one of them being the target -- in hilarious fashion. The Daily Mail has reported the story to be true, however it appears to be a fake.

The video says it shows David Phelps, supposedly the son of Westboro leader Fred Phelps, was doing an interview in a mobile studio with Battlecam.com when the 500-pound naked man abruptly burst out of the bathroom and went after him, the Daily Mail reports. Before the confrontation, "Phelps" was railing against a live crucifixion set to air on Battlecam on Easter Sunday. However, subsequent research shows Fred Phelps does not appear to have a son named David.

The interview appeared to be an obvious attempt to mock and ridicule Phelps and Westboro Baptist Church.

"God hates fags," the fake Phelps says just before the man emerged from the bathroom. "Fags doom nations. Unless you've got anything shy of an apology or a repentance, I'm done."

After spotting the naked man, a stunned "Phelps" asked, "What do you want?" But it was too late.

The Daily Mail has more "details" about the apparently satirical video:

Rob Cutler, from Topeka, Kansas, where the church is based, said: 'I was amazed, first I see David run out of a motor home and the next thing I know he's been sat on by this giant naked man who is screaming "who's your daddy now Davey?"'

The Kansas-based Westboro Baptist Church has previously caused controversy in the U.S. by preaching anti-gay messages.

The video of the bizarre incident was posted on YouTube and has since been viewed more than 30,000 times in 48 hours. Unfortunately, there doesn't appear to be footage of the Westboro leader being sat on.

UPDATE: Late Thursday night a Twitter account claiming to be affiliated with Westboro Baptist Church sent a message to the author of this post suggesting the Daily Mail's report is false because there is no such person as "David Phelps" in the group.

Editor's note: We've updated this post to make clear that the video appears to be a fake.
