Chaos in the Skies: Man Reportedly Claims He Poisoned Every Passenger on U.S.-Bound Flight

Emotional-disturbance or legitimate threat?

This is the question that authorities are asking after chaos unfolded on a Newark-bound United Airlines flight. According to WABC-TV, a passenger who is believed to be emotionally-disturbed allegedly told crew members that he "poisoned everyone on board" United Flight 116.

The aircraft arrived from Hong Kong this afternoon and before its landing, according to the outlet, passengers were restraining the individual on board.

Authorities are aware of what has unfolded on the flight and they are preparing to cope with the situation, however, so far, there is no evidence that the man really poisoned his compatriots. Live video shows police surrounding the airplane.

All of the passengers -- including the individual making the claim -- will be interviewed by police. Watch live footage of the landing.
