Police: 15-Year-Old Male Allegedly Forced 7-Year-Old Girl to Perform Sex Act on Him Then Tried to Kill Her

FISHKILL, N.Y. (AP) — Police say they've arrested a 15-year-old boy who allegedly forced a 7-year-old girl to perform a sex act on him and then started a fire in an attempt to kill her in New York's Hudson Valley.

State police said Saturday the boy has been charged with attempted murder and first-degree criminal sex act, both felonies, according to the Poughkeepsie (N.Y.) Journal.

The boy was arraigned at Fishkill Town Court is being held in a juvenile detention facility.

Police say the girl alleged to the Dutchess County Child Advocacy Center that the 15-year-old acquaintance started a fire in the home where she was staying in Fishkill sometime after forcing her to perform a sex act on him. Police say they recovered evidence from the crime scene.

Investigators say the 15-year-old was found in Poughkeepsie.
