Fed-Up BMW Owner Takes a Sledgehammer to His $160k Car -- and There's Video and a Reason
September 17, 2013
Have you ever had a car that drove you so crazy that you dreamed about destroying it? This guy did it, to a car that cost him $160,000!
Have you ever had a car that drove you so crazy that you dreamed about destroying it? This guy did, and he took that frustration out on a car that cost him $160,000 -- and more.
BMW owner Pourmohseni Hadi went a step further in letting out his anger. The Iranian Marble executive publicly executed his BMW M6 in front of a crowd on stunned onlookers just outside the Frankfurt Auto Show.
The owner-imposed attack on the very expensive car followed a reported four-year battle between Mr. Hadi and BMW in Italy. Various outlets claim that the frustrated man took the car to BMW 1o different times, but the technicians were unable to fix the rattling, vibrations and reported rough shifting that he was experiencing.
Apparently, the disgruntled owner has plans to have the car fixed, only to drive it to Germany where he will repeat his destructive demonstration. Bild, a German website, reported that Hadi explained his actions by saying, "I have written a letter to BMW - no answer. Now I answer! With this action! And I will repeat, with repaired car in Berlin, in front of the Bundestag."
The sign on the side of the now-damaged door reads, "Bewusste BMW -Betrugerei Mangelhafte Gestze." The message loosely translates into, "BMW Consciously Scams - And Laws Are Inadequate." It is believed that Mr. Hadi was referring to his only option in this case, a civil case which would likely take 7-10 years to wind through the Italian courts.
Shortly after Hadi and his friend (identified as Kumpel Thomas Brunner) took sledgehammer and axe to the car, a police officer arrived on the scene. After showing the officer his identification and demonstrating that he was cleaning up his mess, the destruction was allowed to continue.
Eventually, a tow truck arrived and hauled the beat-up Beemer off to the repair shop.
Watch the destruction captured by a passer-by.
