RNC chairman: canceled CNN, NBC Hillary specials 'an important win

In an op-ed for Breitbart.com, Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus celebrated CNN and NBC's decisions not to go forward with planned specials based on former State Secretary Hillary Clinton's life:

After all that pressure and bad publicity, both CNN and NBC announced they were canceling their productions [Monday].

The director of the CNN film, in explaining why he canceled the documentary, made it clear that the RNC’s actions made it more difficult to get the project underway.

This is an important win for conservatives in exposing media bias and holding networks accountable. The top execs who have donated generously to Democratic campaigns are surely heartbroken that the infomercials won’t air.

The RNC voted in August to ban CNN and NBC from participating in 2016 Republican primary debates, should they continue with the specials. Republicans anticipated both productions to have a pro-Clinton bias heading into the presidential election, which Clinton is believed to be a contender.
