The Guy Caught on Video Slugging Female Patriots Fan Has a Scary Past

“He murdered my son, and he got a minimum sentence for killing a 17-year-old boy."

The New York Jets fan caught on video punching a female New England Patriots fan after Sunday's game served time in prison for fatally stabbing a teenager in the 1990s, according to media reports.

Kurt Paschke, 38, was convicted of negligent homicide and spent about three years in prison for killing 17-year-old Henri Ferrer behind a pizza parlor in 1992, the New York Daily News reported.

Paschke, who was also 17 at the time, was originally charged with murder, but his defense attorney successfully argued the grand jury hadn't been properly instructed, according to Newsday. He was convicted of the lesser charge in 1995.

Ferrer's family has long believed Paschke received a lighter punishment because Kurt Paschke Sr. was a Suffolk County police officer, the Daily News reported.

“He murdered my son, and he got a minimum sentence for killing a 17-year-old boy,” Ferrer’s father, Robert Ferrer, told the newspaper. “He got away with it because his father is a sergeant.”

On Sunday, Paschke allegedly punched a woman wearing a Patriots jersey after the Jets' overtime victory at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. No arrests have been made and no one has been charged with a crime, but the situation remains under investigation, a police spokesman told the Daily News. The spokesman said police are "aware of the video" of the incident.

Paschke Sr., who is now retired, told Newsday the altercation started out as banter between rival fans but devolved into a situation where Paschke II had to protect his mother.

"This girl was charging him and punching him. She's no lady," Paschke's father said. "She was the aggressor. If she's gonna start a fight, what is my son gonna do?"

Colleen Paschke told the New York Post a "drunk and out of control" group of Patriots fans had been antagonizing their friends seated in the same row during the whole game.

“As my son and I were leaving, the group came charging from behind and said ‘Let’s get them,’” Colleen Paschke told the Post. “They push through us to get to his friends and start throwing punches. My son wanted to break it up. Then the girl (on the video) was throwing three punches at my son … and with that, my son is just trying to protect himself and me.’’

The woman in the video has been identified as Jaclyn Nugent, 26, according to the Post. She did not comment to the newspaper.

Charges for Paschke could be announced Tuesday, according to the Daily News.
