Brides, It's Not a Good Idea to Try and Pay for Your Wedding This Way

“PSL Police have charged Darville with fraud and theft charges and she was booked into the St. Lucie County jail."

Police have charged a Port St. Lucie, Fla., woman with fraud and theft charges for allegedly using her company’s credit cards to pay for her $50,000 wedding.

Police say Lareese Darville used the credit cards to pay for her wedding at a Hard Rock Cafe in Hollywood, Fla., last June. They add that she oversaw the finances for Partners III Pawn Shop in Port St. Lucie, meaning she had easy access to the company’s cash.

Darville’s managers contacted the police when they started receiving late notices from credit card companies. The cards, the managers explained, had not been used in two years.

“One of the credit cards according to investigators was overdrawn by $10,000,” KVVU-TV reported.

Amazingly enough, Darville reportedly used the credit cards at least 14 times since September 2012, police said.
