Shamanique Bryant, 28, allegedly rear-ended another car early Saturday morning. In doing so, the force somehow threw 24-year-old Mattie Quellen Stubbs from the passenger seat of Bryant's vehicle, according to The Cleveland Plain Dealer.

Bryant fled the scene, but stopped a few blocks away to perform CPR on a man in the back of the 2001 Alero she was driving. The man, according to the Plain Dealer, was suffering from a gunshot wound inflicted upon him at a club earlier that evening.

Bryant then allegedly drove back in the direction of the earlier accident and ran over Stubbs.

Stubbs was pronounced dead at the scene around 3 a.m., but police said it was unclear at the time if she died before or after being run over by the car.

To recap:

  • Bryant allegedly rear-ended a vehicle Saturday.
  • A passenger, Stubbs, in Bryant's car was thrown from the car.
  • Bryant fled the scene.
  • Bryant pulled over to perform CPR on a man who had been shot earlier in the evening.
  • Bryant drove back to the scene of the car crash and allegedly ran over Stubbs, the person initially thrown from her vehicle.

Bryant was charged with aggravated vehicular homicide and leaving the scene of the accident.

Bryant and the male passenger with the gunshot wound were treated for injuries at a local hospital. The Plain Dealer reported the three passengers in the car that was rear-ended were also treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Police were called to the club after reports of gunfire earlier that night, but by the time authorities arrived the victim was gone, according to the Plain Dealer.
