“And I can hardly wait, if I were not in this job, to take on my friend’s Porsche."
It's not a state secret, Vice President Joe Biden loves his restored 1967 Chevy Corvette. (He also loves the new 2015 Z06 Corvette - and checked out the newest model when he visited the Detroit Auto Show last month.)
The Vice President is also a fan of the union-dominated car makers who often vote for Democrats. On Wednesday, Biden was in rare form addressing the United Auto Workers at their annual conference in Washington, D.C.
Biden sounded like a top salesman at a Chevy dealership when he outlined the new Corvette's features. “It also can track on a curve," he said. "It has a 106.7-inch wheelbase. It has more weight in the back for the first time ever.” The Vice President continued to gush about the American-made sports car, “And I can hardly wait, if I were not in this job, to take on my friend’s Porsche. I’m serious, it’s the best buy in America.”

Biden went on to lament the fact that he can't drive his 'Vette or the new model, unless it happens on a Secret Service test track. (Top elected officials in America are not allowed to drive themselves.)
