"It makes me lose weight quicker."
A Miss Venezuela 2013 contestant revealed in a recent interview that she had a piece of plastic mesh sewed to her tongue to prevent her from being able to eat solid foods in her bid to stay thin.
Wi May Nava, 18, showed off the patch to the BBC for a special titled, "South America: Extreme Beauty Queens."

"It makes me lose weight quicker," she said, explaining that it makes solid foods to painful to process through her mouth.

"You eat the same, but liquefied," the 18-year-old added, later laughing at her apparent inability to kiss anyone as a result of the device.
