U.S. Figure Skater's Outfit Ruffles Some Feathers -- But Offended Parties Aren't the Usual Suspects

"Not sure it sends the best message about America."

Notice anything out of sorts with this U.S. figure skater's attire?

No, we don't mean Marissa Castelli. We're talking about her pairs partner, Simon Shnapir.

Apparently some folks are in a snit because Shnapir was wearing a gun holster for the couple's performance at the Sochi Games on Saturday.

Their theme music was from the the James Bond flick "Skyfall," which likely had something to do with his choice of attire.

Some viewers thought the holster was a nifty move:
