Gunfire erupted during a Sunday afternoon press conference a Mississippi county supervisor was holding on gun violence.
Local news cameras captured the moment a shot was fired from a vehicle as Hinds County Supervisor Kenneth Stokes spoke about the need for a larger police presence.
No one was injured, but the gunfire appeared to startle reporters at the scene, according to WJTV.
"Did somebody just really drive by and ... that was a gunshot!" a reporter exclaimed.
"Well you can see what I'm saying!" Stokes responded. "Here at this time, you're hearing gunshots and those kinds of things, because that's the nonsense that's taking place. We must have a police presence."
