This ‘Miracle Berry’ Tablet Makes Your Taste Buds Do Crazy Things – Here’s Proof

"It doesn't freak me out, but I don't like it."

The folks over at Business Insider decided to test out the “Miracle Berry” tablet on some unsuspecting people -- and the results were quite interesting.

“The tablet, also known as mBerry, consists of powder from a West African fruit called Synsepalum dulcificum, or miracle fruit. When consumed, the berry alters your taste buds in a way that sour foods become extremely sweet,” Business Insider’s William Wei notes.

The tablet apparently works as people eat lemons, limes and Sour Patch Kids candy and taste nothing but sweet. To be honest, it's a little weird.

As one of the tasters in the video puts it, "It doesn't freak me out, but I don't like it."
