If Oliver Stone Hadn't Burned His Final Obama Buddy Bridge, His Latest Statement Just Lit the Match

“I don’t think he’s that interesting..."

Oliver Stone made a movie about President George W. Bush (“W”). So isn't it a no-brainer for Stone to make a movie about the current Commander-in-Chief?

Dan Rather asked the controversial filmmaker that very question, wondering if there's a Barack Obama movie in his future. Stone didn't sugarcoat his answer.

“I don’t think he’s that interesting enough,” Stone told Rather on his AXS-TV program, Red Alert Politics noted.

Stone has publicly criticized Obama in the past. “Obama is a snake,” Stone said last August in reference to the NSA spying program. “He’s a snake. And we have to turn on him.”

In the lead up to the 2012 Republican National Convention, Stone said he’d vote for Ron Paul over Obama if Paul secured the GOP nomination. Stone suggested that Paul was the “only one” who’s “saying anything intelligent about the future of the world.”

On the heels of his latest Obama jab, Stone told Rather an Obama biopic is "more of a [Steven] Spielberg movie." Stone then said he faults the director of “Schindler's List,” "Jaws," and “E.T." for "his view of exceptionalism. You know, he grew up in that America, he has to sell that idea. Americans like that idea.”
