Watch: NBA Player Is Literally 'Faked Out Of His Shoes

"I have never seen that happen before."

If you've ever played schoolyard basketball, you've probably heard the term "faked out of his shoes."

That actually happened Wednesday night for NBA star Manu Ginobli of the San Antonio Spurs.

Just before halftime in a very close game between the Spurs and Detroit Pistons, Ginobli stepped in front of Piston's guard Rodney Stuckey and literally blasted though his left shoe.

To his credit, he continued to follow the play until San Antonio got control of the ball and called a 20-second time out. Ginobli quickly changed shoes and was back on the court.

"I have never seen that happen before," the commentator said.

The Spurs shooting guard was uninjured and finished the game, ultimately scoring 16 points in San Antonio's 120-110 victory over the Pistons.
