See the Video That Resulted in Sears Launching an Investigation and Terminating an Employee

"This is not the kind of behavior that is demonstrated by Sears people..."

A Sears Canada employee has been fired after a video surfaced on the Internet showing him employ a racist remark while interacting with a heated customer.

It is not clear why the Sears patron was upset, but he can be heard in the video saying in a condescending manner, "Let me guess, you came from Domo? Esso?"

After being accused of having formally worked at a gas station, the Sears employee shot back, "Let me guess, you came off a boat?"

That comment ignited the customer, who approached the man shouting a series of obscenities at him and demanding his manger terminate the employee.

The confrontation appears to die down when another Sears employee arrives at the scene and moves the angry customer to another location in the store.

The employee was initially suspended, however, a spokesperson for Sears Canada told CBC News late Monday that the employee has now been fired.

“We concluded the majority of our investigation and have terminated the employee involved in the Polo Park incident,” spokesman Vince Power said in an email.

"This is not the kind of behavior that is demonstrated by Sears people across Canada," had previously sad.
