Krauthammer Absolutely Unleashes on Snowden's SXSW Speech: 'I Don't Want to Be Lectured by a Traitor

"...he doesn't deserve the airing."

Conservative political pundit Charles Krauthammer issued a scathing review of NSA leaker Edward Snowden's address to SXSW saying, "I don't want to be lectured by a traitor."

The comments, made during Monday's episode of Fox News' "Special Report," came after Snowden delivered a much anticipated speech to the annual music, film and interactive conference being held in Austin, Texas.

[sharequote align="center"]"I don't want to be lectured by a traitor who speaks from a land that doesn't have a constitution..."[/sharequote]

"I don't mind being lectured by Ron [Paul] about the Fourth Amendment and privacy because I respect Ron," Krauthammer said. "I don't want to be lectured by a traitor who speaks from a land that doesn't have a constitution, or had one and it was entirely eviscerated by a thug who has just invaded another land."

The conservative firebrand continued, skewering Snowden for the types of documents he chose to leak.

"You know, and the reason that everybody lauds Snowden, or the ones who do, is because of his revelations on privacy. But that is a fraction of the revelations he has done, which have to do with secrets," he said. "The military intelligent secrets of the United States, which he has undoubtedly given the Russians which in and of itself is an act of treason and probably the Chinese as well."

"So, yes, we should have a debate, even lectures on the Constitution. But that's the wrong guy to give it and he doesn't deserve the airing," Krauthammer concluded. "I wouldn't ban airing him under the First Amendment but Americans on their own ought to shun a man like that."
