Women in Car Attacked by Cross-Dressing Man When They Wouldn't Let Him Hitch a Ride

"We were in fear for our lives."

After women in a car in Florida refused to give a man wearing a dress, knee-high boots and a wig a ride, he attacked.

WKMG-TV reported the cross-dressing man, who remains at large, at first threw a drink when the women wouldn't let him hitch a ride Tuesday, but the incident became more violent later.

Corsica Cleveland drove away, but she was stopped at a traffic light where the man caught up with them. This time, he threw rocks that broke the car's glass.

"Nobody was cut, but we had like glass in our hair and in our clothes," Cleveland told WESH-TV, which noted that a 5-year-old was in the car as well. "We were scared. We were in fear for our lives. We were scared because he could have had a gun or something because he had a purse."

Orlando police are searching for the man, according to WESH.

Connie Smith, an Orlando resident, who was shown the footage by WKMG, told the news station it's also something to consider that people watched this attack happen and did nothing about it.

"We're standing by and we're watching these things happen and we're video taping these things happening and then we're saying 'what can we do?' You know, you could put that camera down," Smith said.
