You Really Will Have a Hard Time Believing What He Allegedly Did Right After Finishing a 15-Year Prison Sentence

A man who was serving a 15-year prison sentence for robbing a store did the unthinkable after he completed his sentence — he took a bus from prison to rob the same store, New Jersey authorities said.

According to the Toms River Police Department, 40-year-old Christopher M. Miller's first task upon leaving prison Friday was to take a bus to a "Stride Rite" shoe store and rob it.

Miller allegedly arrived at the shoe store Saturday, demanded cash and the cell phones of employees.

The store employees told police that he soon "became agitated and removed the register drawer himself which contained $389 in cash."

"He demanded that the employees go to the back of the store but out of fear for their lives they refused," the police report said. "He also demanded their car keys but they refused that request too."

Authorities then say Miller fled on foot, before being found by police a few blocks away.

"This weekend's investigation revealed that Mr. Miller was released from South Woods State Prison in Bridgeton New Jersey and took a bus from Atlantic City to Toms River where he arrived at a plaza where Stride Rite is located prior to committing the crime," police said.

Miller was charged with robbery and is currently being held in the Ocean County Jail on $100,000 bail.
