Iranian Ayatollah Urges His President to Punch Obama 'In the Mouth' Whenever He Talks 'Nonsense

"They took over the den, caught the spies, and held America by the throat for 444 days. Well done!"

Ayatollah Ahmad Khatami said Iranian President Hassan Rouhani should punch U.S. President Obama "in the mouth" whenever he talks "nonsense," according to a video posted by the Middle East Media Research Institute.

After decrying how "from across the world, [the Americans] intervene in Afghanistan and Iraq, and conspire against Islamic Iran," Khatami praised how Iranians took over the American Embassy -- which he called a "spy den" -- in 1979.

"The Muslim students knew that as long as that spy den remained open, the revolution could not be consolidated," he intoned. "They took over the den, caught the spies, and held America by the throat for 444 days. Well done!"

Khatami added that if the Egyptians had learned from the experience of the Iranians, "they wouldn't have been in the situation they find themselves in today."

"Death to America!" the audience responded.

Khatami said that when Iranian negotiators speak with Americans, they know they "face a hostile enemy that cannot be trusted at all."

"Just as you confront them during the negotiations, you must confront them on the level of political declarations," he continued. "If the American president talks nonsense, our president should punch him in the mouth."
