Little Girl's Make-a-Wish Music Video Is Guaranteed to Put a Smile on Your Face
May 08, 2014
One song in particular from YouTube gave her inspiration.
It was more than a year ago when a little girl named Addy, only 4, was rushed to the emergency room with severe stomach pains.

While she was soon sent home, the pain returned two months later even stronger — along with a heartbreaking diagnosis: Stage-IV cancer.
During her long hospital visits to distract herself from the symptoms that come radiation and chemotherapy, Addy spent hours drawing and — when she felt up for it — practicing singing and dancing. One song in particular from YouTube gave her inspiration: Katy Perry's "Roar," which touches on battling through adversity.
Turns out Addy beat her cancer after a hard-fought battle, noted WNEW-FM in Lanham, Maryland outside Washington, D.C.
And when she learned Make-a-Wish Mid-Atlantic would be granting her a wish, Addy — now 5 — decided to celebrate by starring in her own music video patterned after her favorite artist. It's called "Addy's Roar."
