See That Truck? It's About to Smash Into an Overpass Too Low for It to Drive Under

Trucks in certain parts of New York are not permitted to drive on parkways — and there is a good reason for that rule.

Footage posted online Wednesday shows the moment a semi-truck sustains significant damage after attempting to drive under a low overpass.

"Earlier today, as I was driving, I saw a tractor trailer driving down the parkway in the right lane. I knew that something was about to happen and I immediately started recording," the individual that uploaded the footage to YouTube wrote. "Soon after I started recording, the truck struck an overpass, and was obliterated."

The individual that captured the footage added that he "pulled over to make sure the driver was okay."

"He was fine, but clearly upset," he wrote.
