Radio Host Goes Nuclear on Democrats, Names Harry Reid the ‘Donald Sterling of the Senate’

"...in fact, they haven’t done a damn thing for anybody in this country — but this they think is important."

Conservative radio host Mark Levin ripped Democrats on Thursday over their insistence that the NFL should force the Washington Redskins to change their team name because they say it’s racist and insensitive.

Fifty Senate Democrats wrote to NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell this week, urging him to back the name-change.

“They haven’t done a damn thing for minority unemployment in this country… in fact, they haven’t done a damn thing for anybody in this country — but this they think is important,” Levin said.

In the letter to Goodell, Democrats applauded the NBA’s quick action in banning Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling over an audio recording that caught him making racist remarks. Levin noted that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid once make “racist statements” about President Barack Obama.

He seems to be referring to the time Reid told reporters that Obama is “light-skinned” and can speak with no “negro dialect” if he chooses to.

“Did the Democrat Party act quickly and expel Harry Reid? Of course not! That’s different,” Levin said angrily. “Even though he’s the Donald Sterling of Senate? Of course not, that’s different.”
