Ted Cruz Featured in Hit TV Show — See How He and Other 'Republicans' Are Portrayed
July 21, 2014
Not exactly subtle...
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) was featured on HBO’s vampire-themed show “True Blood” Sunday, seemingly as a convenient excuse to bash him and other Republicans.
In the episode, two characters attend a gala supporting Sen. Cruz at the Bush Presidential Library in College Station, Texas. The banter about Republicans is not kind and definitely not subtle.
“You’ll never get in. You’re vampires. Security’s going to be tight and they only invited assholes,” a female character says.
“We can be assholes,” some guy vampire replies.
Later in the episode, the same female character jokingly describes herself as a “Republi-c**t” before they crashed the Cruz gala.
Finally, when they make it to the event, she then proclaims, “Of all the horrible things I’ve seen in the last hundred years this could be the most disturbing.”
Watch a portion of the episode via HBO (Warning: Some strong language):
