A Chilling Conversation With an Islamic State Terrorist: We Will 'Make Some Attacks in New York Soon

"A lot of brothers there are mobilizing right now."

An Islamic State terrorist vowed in an exclusive interview with VICE News that the militant group is planning attacks in New York City “soon.”

Farah Shirdon, also known as Abu Usamah Somali, is a Canadian citizen who left his native country to fight with the Islamic State in Iraq. He is seen in a recent propaganda video burning his passport and promising to destroy the U.S. and Canada.

"[We] will make some attacks in New York soon," he told VICE News. "A lot of brothers there are mobilizing right now. ... Mobilizing for a brilliant attack, my friend."

Later the interview, Shirdon addressed President Barack Obama personally.

“I hope Barack Obama listens to this message,” he said. “I swear you infidel, I swear to almighty Allah, we will fight you until the end.”

Shirdon also claimed he knows “thousands upon thousands” of people in the West who are “ready right now” to carry out attacks.

The radical Islamist said the Islamic State might stop its terror when Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is "crucified for his war crimes." Another big goal for the Islamic State, he continued, is to fly the Islamic flag over the White House.
