Can You Guess Why People Are Voting to Make This Unique Business Suit a Reality?
September 25, 2014
"A revolution in apparel for the modern gentleman."
Over 1,500 people have voted to make the "Suitsy" a reality on Betabrand, a San Francisco-based crowdfunding site for clothing.
What is the Suitsy? According to the item's description, it is a business suit "onesie."
"Imagine looking professional but feeling like you're in pajamas," the description reads. "Consider wearing a suit and a onesie at the same time. Welcome to the Suitsy."
The jacket, shirt and pants are all connected, though they give the appearance of being separate pieces.
"Fake shirt-cuff material extends from the end of the jacket sleeves to give the impression of a complete dress shirt worn underneath. It's as if a jumpsuit and a business suit had a lovechild," the description continues. "Let's change the world, one better-looking, more leisurely gentleman at a time!"
Suitsy creator Jesse Herzog made a YouTube video demonstrating how he finished getting dressed in eight seconds flat while wearing the product:
“San Francisco, I think, appreciates convenience and comfort but also a little bit of class too, and this is a combination of all those things,” Herzog told WESH-TV. “I thought, 'Wouldn’t it be great to have way to look professional but also feel like I’m in my pajamas?'”
Herzog calls his invention a "revolution in apparel for the modern gentleman."
