Glenn Beck on Thursday shared a sneak peek of the upcoming Miracles and Massacres Museum with his television audience, revealing historical artifacts from Abraham Lincoln's "life mask" -- a molding of the president's face -- to George Washington's wallet.
The museum, hosted by Mercury One and co-curated by famed collector Brent Ashworth, will be on display only from October 10 to October 11 in Beck's Dallas studios. With $50 million worth of historical artifacts, it coincides with Mercury One's God, Guns and Giving charity event.
Beck also made an exciting announcement for all the Americans who love history.
"We've decided that we're going to make a -- it's a small paperback, almost like a very nice magazine book," he began. "And we're going to start printing these for Mercury One. They will all be for charity, so I'm not going to get any of the money. The money will go to be able to acquire some of these precious documents and things so we can keep them in the hands of the people."
Beck continued: "We've gone with a photographer and a great writer and sat down with Brent and said, 'Show us these things, tell us the story.' So each page has a picture of whatever it is, and then the story ... I really want it so you'll be able to have, in the end, a large collection of these."
Beck said that once you have the books, if someone ever tells you something you know to be inaccurate, you can actually point them to the documents showing what really happened.
"And it will take you through all of American history by the end," Beck added.
