He's Falling Down and Facing the Wrong Way. Hold Your Breath as You Watch Him Take His Shot Anyway.

"This is why I watch hockey."

"This is why I watch hockey," reads the caption posted with the video on Reddit. "Possibly best goal of the season."

The incredible goal came during Friday's game between the Buffalo Sabres and the Montreal Canadiens.

Buffalo would emerge victorious, but it was something that happened merely three minutes into the first period that left the crowd stunned.

Sabres forward Tyler Ennis powered through the Canadiens, colliding with the opposing goalie just in front of the net and failing to score.

But Ennis didn't give up on the play. He found himself — and the puck — on the opposite side of the goal.

Off-balance and facing the wrong way, Ennis slams off a backhanded shot...

...and as he hits the ice, he scores.

"Roll the highlight film!" the announcer yells. "Oh you're gonna see that one time and time again!"
