Duck Dynasty' Star Phil Robertson Is Unable to Hold Back His Tears After His Family's Epic, Narrative-Destroying Act
December 16, 2014
"Most people just think in terms of money, but it’s way more than that."
The Robertson family, of the hit A&E show “Duck Dynasty,” recently gave one of their family friends, Theressa, a life-changing Christmas gift — and their inspiring act of kindness is going viral.
In an episode that aired last week, tears started flowing almost immediately as Theressa pulled up in her son’s car and realized the Robertson family had bought her a new house for Christmas.

“I can’t think of a more deserving woman of a new house than Theressa Lewis,” Phil Robertson said. “Most people just think in terms of money, but it’s way more than that. Loving God and loving your neighbor are the two greatest commands of the Bible.”

Later, as the group gathered in prayer, Robertson’s emotions got the better of him, too, as he broke down in tears while delivering the prayer.
“Father, we just give you a great big thank you for Theressa and all of her family,” he began, his voice shaking with emotion. “Father, as you know, I don’t cry that much, but on behalf of my sister and her kids and her grandkids, just hard to stop the tears.”
