On Reddit, some commenters said the uber-expensive watch was "gaudy" and belonged "in a rap video."

Oozing snark, one commenter wrote, "What a beautiful machine. And what a tacky piece of jewelry."

Other commenters praised the video for detailing the level of hard work that goes into watch-making, with one writing:

I am a huge fan of watches and I think the biggest part of the watch culture that gets lost on people is the artistry of it. To design something that works that well and has that many components is an amazing feat. Not only is the watching visually stunning but it is technically stunning as well. Things like this watch are genuinely works of art and the level of skill to design it then put it together is immense.

Another commenter wrote, "After seeing the entire process, that final product gave me the chills."
