A Lot of Conservatives Are Talking About T-Shirt NFL Head Coach Wore to Stadium Before Winning Super Bowl
February 02, 2015
Making a statement?
As he entered University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, to prepare for the biggest game of the year on Sunday, New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick was seen wearing a T-shirt with an unmistakable conservative symbol.

As seen in the Boston Herald photo above, the coach is wearing a “Don’t Tread on Me” shirt featuring the coiled snake and American flag. The phrase and symbols are regularly used by conservatives to promote limited government and freedom.
Belichick and the Patriots went on to defeat the Seattle Seahawks 28-24 in Super Bowl XLIX. It's the future hall-of-fame coach's fourth Super Bowl title.
