On Friday afternoon, the U.S. State Department asked Twitter users to offer their “solutions” for countering “violent extremism.”
We want your input. Share solutions you think are critical to countering violent extremism. http://t.co/lmVRNT7CAlpic.twitter.com/ivZKtwEQ8a

In addition to a number of sarcastic responses, Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) offered the State Department a number of solutions to counter extremism. They probably weren't what the department had in mind.
Glad you asked-I have some ideas...RT @StateDept: We want your input. Share solutions you think are critical to countering violent extremism

It seems Sen. Cotton is of the belief that the best way to defeat extremists, like those fighting for the Islamic State terrorist group, is to take them out.
