March 10, 2015
"Insane. Wow."
It's an ad that's been viewed millions of times.
In an effort to promote their call center for individuals with hearing problems, Samsung came up with a heartwarming stunt that followed a man in Istanbul.
Muharram Yazgan, who can only communicate with others using sign language, was secretly recorded on a walk out with his sister Özlem. As Yazgan walked through the city, he was stunned to encounter a series of individuals who spoke to him in sign language. The final stunt at the end of his walk brought Yazgan to tears.
"A world without barriers is our dream as well," a message is displayed on screen at the conclusion of the ad.
Titled "Hearing Hands," Samsung's advert has been viewed more than 4 million times since it was published online last week.
"Insane. Wow," commented one individual.
"This is awesome," echoed another. "Well done."
Others said the ad inspired tears.
"Made me cry," commented on person. "Great commercial, great idea."
"Damn this inflammation in my tear gland," added another.
