He Had Just Won a Championship When an Interviewer Asked Him About His Family's Tragedy. His Perfect Response Showed He Won't Let Anything Get Him Down.

"What's it feel like?"

Here's an interview for the ages.

ESPN's Quint Kessenich caught Iowa State wrestler Kyven Gadson fresh off his Saturday win in the 197-pound NCAA championship match, peppering him with the typical questions about his victory.

Then Kessenich asked about Gadson's "family adversity" — referencing how Gadson's father passed away the day after Gadson won the Big 12 title as a sophomore in 2013.

"You know I love my dad, I'm about to start tearing up," Gadson responded, but he kept his head high and didn't cry. "It's awesome, we worked for this. My dad, my mom, everyone, we worked for this."

But the interviewer pressed the issue, asking, "What's it feel like?"

Gadson's face went blank for a second — and then he ended the interview.

"I just want some ice cream, man," he said, trotting away. "I just want some ice cream."
