Surveillance Video Shows Violent Blast After a Hooded Figure Places a Bomb Underneath a Car

New surveillance video out of Italy shows a hooded figure approaching a car at night and blowing it up.

The blast is believed to have taken place early last month in Brindisi where the man was seen walking out of a building and planting an explosive device underneath a Volkswagen Golf, the Daily Mirror reported.

The result was a blinding detonation that sent debris flying through the air as the man and his accomplice ran away.

Police have arrested a 33-year-old man in connection with the plot. A motive has not been determined, the paper reported.

The suspect, whose name was not released, has been accused of possessing and carrying explosive devices and aggravated damage.
