Here's How Rick Santorum Responded When Asked If He'd Accept an Endorsement From Caitlyn Jenner

"Do you accept her?"

Former Pennsylvania senator and 2016 Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum proclaimed on Thursday evening that he would welcome an endorsement from Caitlyn Jenner, the reality TV star and Olympian formerly known as Bruce Jenner.

"If Caitlyn Jenner wanted to endorse me, would I accept the endorsement? The answer is if that's the way she feels about my candidacy, sure," Santorum told CNN's Erin Burnett. "Look, there are all sorts of people in this country of all different positions in life."

The politician said that he accepts whatever reason someone has for voting for him, regardless of who he or she is, but Burnett pressed him on the issue, asking, "You accept their vote. But do you accept them? Do you accept her?"

"My, my job as a human being is to treat everybody with dignity, respect, period," he said. "Stop. Full stop. No qualification to that."

Watch the exchange below:

These comments came after fellow Republican presidential candidate Lindsay Graham said that he believes there's room for Jenner in the GOP.
