June 18, 2015
"... a deeply regrettable coincidence."
The Charleston Post and Courier's Thursday morning edition featured a sticker advertising a sale at a gun shop above the headline about the mass shooting at a local church that resulted in nine deaths.

On the heels of the social media complaints about the sticker, the Post and Courier apologized on Facebook:
"The front-page sticky note that was attached to some home delivery newspapers on the same day as this tragedy is a deeply regrettable coincidence," the Facebook comment read. "We apologize to those who were offended."
