Glenn Beck Announces He Will Do 'Something That the President Should Have Done' for Law Enforcement

"I know I am a nobody but someone has to do it."

Glenn Beck turned to Facebook Wednesday night to announce that he would be calling for individuals around the country to gather Friday and pray for law enforcement.

"Tomorrow on radio we are announcing something that the president should have done. I know I am a nobody but someone has to do it," Beck wrote. "I am calling for a national day of prayer on Friday at 12 noon eastern I would like to ask that where ever you are you gather with like minded people and you pray for our nation and all those who protect and serve."

Beck said that he would post a prayer people can use on his website by 9 a.m. ET Thursday.

"I would also like to ask that all churches open their doors on Friday morning and call the believers in for prayer. Our protectors are under attack and it is open season on those that wear a uniform," he wrote.

Beck's call for prayer comes just days after a Texas deputy was shot several times and killed while pumping gas into his cruiser. The deputy's funeral is scheduled to take place Friday. Gov. Greg Abbott requested officers from around the state flash their blue and red lights for one minute the moment it begins.
