Biden Says He's Uncertain if He'll Run for President

"[I] can't look you straight in the eye and say now, 'I know I can do it.'"

ATLANTA (AP) — Vice President Joe Biden says he is unsure whether he will seek the presidency and his decision will depend on whether he and his family have the "emotional energy to run."

Biden says at an Atlanta synagogue that he "can't look you straight in the eye and say now, 'I know I can do it.'"

The vice president was asked about his interest in a late entry into the 2016 Democratic primaries following a lecture on U.S. foreign policy.

Biden says unless he can go to Democrats and the American people and say he's able to "devote my whole heart and my whole soul to this endeavor, it would not be appropriate."
