Shortly after being released from jail on Tuesday, Kentucky clerk Kim Davis addressed supporters at a rally outside of the Carter County Detention Center. Davis, who was jailed for repeatedly refusing to issue gay marriage licenses, walked onto the stage to “Eye of the Tiger.”
“I love you all so much,” she said, her voice dripping with emotion. “I just want to give God the glory. His people have rallied, and you are a strong people!”
She added, “We serve a living God who knows exactly where each and everyone of us is at. Just keep on pressing. Don’t let down, because He is here. He’s worthy, He’s worthy. I love you guys, thank you so much.”
