Musician Ted Nugent went on a Twitter tirade Saturday during which he blasted Planned Parenthood and the Obama administration — specifically targeting President Barack Obama's religion.
In one tweet published on Saturday morning, Nugent said if Obama is a Christian, then he's a "gay vegetarian pirate."
Obama's faith has been the center of controversy lately after Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump did not correct a voter who called the president a Muslim during a rally.
In his own series of tweets, Trump said it was the first time he had caused controversy because of something he didn't say.
"Am I morally obligated to defend the president every time somebody says something bad or controversial about him? I don't think so!" Trump tweeted.
