They are the subject of “The Heart of America,” a new short video series from TheBlaze Documentary Films.

A family-run bakery near Columbus, Ohio, was one of more than 600,000 small businesses that closed their doors during the 2009 economic slump. But unlike most of those, the Tremont Goodie Shop is back in business, thanks to a community that banded together and a dedicated woman who refused to give up on a family tradition.
