Don't Touch Me!': Woman Allegedly Approached Muslim Men Who Were Praying in a Park and Began Attacking Islam. Chaos Ensued.

"Their religion is dangerous, very dangerous, this 'Muslim thing.'"

A woman who reportedly made anti-Muslim slurs and tossed coffee and an umbrella at Muslim men who were praying in a park over the weekend could find herself in legal trouble after the purported incident was captured on video.

Denise Slader, an administrative employee of the California Department of Corrections, allegedly clashed with the Muslim men on Sunday afternoon at Lake Chabot Regional Park in the San Francisco Bay Area, purportedly confronting the men after they finished praying.

A portion of of the altercation was captured by a man named Rasheed Albeshari and was later posted to his Facebook page.

"The people you tortured are going to be in eternity in heaven. You are very deceived by Satan," a woman identified as Slader is seen proclaiming in the Facebook video. "Your mind has been taken over, brainwashed — and you have nothing but hate, nothing but hate!"

#Islamophobia After praying, this lady approached us and started yelling at us that we're brainwashed for believing in Allah, "Allah is evil" she said. I started video taping her, I ,also, was hit by an umbrella before taking a shower of coffee right on my face. And what happened next was this..

It was at that point that a park ranger approached and tried to remedy the situation, with Albeshari telling the ranger that Slader was speaking negatively about his God.

It's unclear what happened next, as Slader approached the man while he was explaining his version of events and the camera seemed to bounce around, with Albeshari yelling, "Don't touch me" and imploring someone to "call the police."

Park police are recommending that Slader be hit with misdemeanor battery charges, though she has not been arrested; the incident could end up being considered a hate crime, KNTV-TV reported.

"It is legal to pray in the park, and talk to people in the park," East Bay Regional Park District spokeswoman Carolyn Jones told the outlet. "It is not legal to hit people in the park."

Albeshari uploaded the video to Facebook along with the hashtag #Islamophobia, offering up his version of events.

"After praying, this lady approached us and started yelling at us that we're brainwashed for believing in Allah, 'Allah is evil' she said," he wrote. "I started video taping her. I also was hit by an umbrella before taking a shower of coffee right on my face."

Slader reportedly reiterated her beliefs about Islam in an interview with KNTV-TV on Wednesday, claiming that the religion teaches rape and murder to its followers, and saying that she was "surrounded" by eight Muslim men in the park and hit one of them out of instinct.

"Their religion is dangerous, very dangerous, this 'Muslim thing,'" she reportedly said.
