The center podium stood empty for the first moments after the break at Saturday night's Democratic debate — no one was quite sure where Hillary Clinton was.
But the network had a schedule to keep, so the moderators continued the debate with Sen. Bernie Sanders and former Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley.
Then finally Clinton showed up. "Sorry," she said, after walking back onstage.
The Democratic frontrunner and former Secretary of State was greeted with warm applause by the crowd at Saint Anselm College when she returned.
The debate break lasted from 9:30 p.m. to 9:35 p.m. — just shy of 6 minutes.
