President Barack Obama opened up a Thursday evening town hall on guns with a simple six-word admission.
"I have never owned a gun," Obama said at the outset of the CNN special.
The president did, however, note that he has done some skeet shooting at Camp David.
Obama added in his opening statement that he has great "respect for the Second Amendment" and noted that he has "now been president for over seven years and gun sales don't seem to have suffered."
The "Guns in America" town hall was hosted and national televised by CNN. It comes as Obama lobbies for "common sense" gun control to be implemented.
