Ann Coulter Shocks With Single Tweet As Nikki Haley Delivers GOP SOTU Response

Outspoken columnist Ann Coulter shocked many Tuesday night with a tweet she posted to her account as S.C. Gov. Nikki Haley delivered the Republican response to President Barack Obama's final State of the Union address.

"Trump should deport Nikki Haley," Coulter tweeted.

Reaction was swift and overwhelmingly critical of Coulter.

Coulter's tweet seemed to have been prompted by Haley's comments on immigration and apparent slight of GOP frontrunner Donald Trump.

"Immigrants have becoming to our shores for generations to live the dream that is America," Haley said.

"During anxious times it can be tempting to follow the siren call of the angriest voices. We must resist that temptation," she continued. "No one who is willing to work hard, abide by our laws and love our traditions should ever feel unwelcome in this country. At the same time that does not mean we just flat-out open our borders. We can't do that."
