When Sanders Accuses Clinton of Being Part of Establishment, She Hits Back With This Rebuttal
February 04, 2016
"I've got to just jump in here..."
Hillary Clinton cited her gender at Thursday night's Democratic debate to hit back against a claim by Bernie Sanders that she is part of the establishment political class.
"I've got to just jump in here, because honestly — Sen. Sanders is the only person who I think would characterize me, a woman running to be the first woman president, as exemplifying the establishment," Clinton said.
She added, "I've got to tell you that it is really quite amusing to me."
