While showing her dogs in the Denver Dog Show on Sunday, Elisa Befus received an unforgettable present for Valentine’s Day.

Befus had not seen her son, Michael, for three years. He had been stationed aboard a Navy ship in Japan.

Michael decided to surprise his mom with his return during the show. KDVR-TV caught the reunion on camera:

"I wanted to show her something nice," Michael told KDVR after the reunion. "So that was fun."

"That was the end of me and my dog show," Befus said after expressing joy at their reunion.
