Columbia police said officers are evacuating areas inside the mall.
UPDATE 9:10 p.m. ET: Columbia police reported there was an altercation between three males and two of them reportedly fired shots before leaving the mall.
Police added that they believe all three individuals left in the same area and that there were no reports of injuries. There have been no arrests yet, police added.

UPDATE 8:16 p.m. ET: Reporters on a live WIS-TV broadcast said police indicated the shooting was likely an isolated incident between two people and at this point not an active shooter situation.
Police said the mall has been evacuated, the station added.

An active shooter has been reported inside a mall in Columbia, South Carolina, according to WIS-TV.
Shots were reported outside Dillard's and T-Mobile at the Columbiana Centre mall, the station added, citing scanner traffic.

Officers from multiple jurisdictions were responding, WIS reported, and Columbia police said officers are evacuating areas inside the mall, talking to possible witnesses and gathering information.

The Columbia Police Department has reported on Twitter that no victims have been located.
